Fiji Overview
Fiji is one of those rare destinations ideal for everyone - divers (novice to advanced) - and non-divers, too.
We have never in the world encountered a people warmer & more welcoming than the Fijians. For the cultural aspect alone, this archipelago of 300+ islands more than warrants a visit.
And certainly the islands themselves, rich with that lush tropical splendor that so many of us seek to escape from the "real world", seduce us with their crystalline white beaches, raging waterfalls, copious hiking trails, kayaking, windsurfing, snorkling, horseback riding . . .
In short, you name it, you've got it in Fiji.
For the diver? No question that Fiji offers ample options to satisfy your lust to dive.
In the north of this island nation, around Taveuni, lie some of the best known of Fiji's dive sites, for example Ringgold Atolls and Somosorro Straits. But in addition, there remains a vast, still largely untouched region here where you may have the chance for some genuine exploration.
If you're looking for fast action, you can find exhilarating shark diving off Beqa Island, in the south of the chain.
And, moving west there's "something for everyone" diving. This area has easy access in and out of the Nadi international airport plus diving in the area is everything that Fiji is renowned for, the sensuous soft corals, the swarms of colorful reef fish and to top it off plenty of pelagics, too.
While Fiji remains always & unquestionably a fabulous destination for romance & seclusion, it also must be included on any diver's list of top dive options in the world.
