       Galapagos Aggressor I & II
Aggressor I & II Details

THE BOAT
The two identical luxury Galapagos Aggressor boats were built in 1992 & 1994.   They had their latest refits in 2006 & 2007.  Each offers an extensive assortment of  amenities to make your  diving trip a truly spectacular holiday.

You’ll find a lovely dining area with restaurant atmosphere, a partially covered sun deck with comfortable chairs, tables & loungers, plus wet bar, hammocks  a  BBQ grill.  To top it all off there’s a hot tub for those of you with a desire for true decadence!

The dive deck has personal gear lockers, freshwater showers, rinse tank, and camera table – and scuba diving equipment rental is available. In addition to snorkeling & diving, you’ll want to grab the opportunity for guided land tours with naturalist guides.

ACCOMMODATION
Sleeping accommodations include three upper deck master-suite staterooms with a picture window & 2 single beds that can be converted to 1 queen bed.  Plus there are 4 deluxe twin cabins.  All cabins have private bath + TV, DVD & MP3 facilities.

MEALS

Always meeting the excellent standards of the Aggressor Fleet, your meals onboard your Galapagos yacht will include native seafood and international cuisine.

DIVING & ITINERARIES
You will have maximum 3 dives daily, depending on weather and sea conditions.  All itineraries will be 8 day/7 night trips with diving beginning Friday and ending Wednesday morning unless otherwise noted.

To honor the National Parks new regulations the Galapagos Aggressor yachts have announced a new itinerary effective February 1, 2011. The new itinerary is as follows:

The goal is to provide you with the ultimate in liveaboard diving while visiting the Galapagos Islands. The new itinerary is extremely exciting because of the new areas the yachts will be exploring. This itinerary will add diving at Roca Redonda and Punta Vicente Roca (Isabela Island), and in 2012 we will add Pinta Island. We will continue to dive Cousins Rock and Bartolome Island, and will no longer dive Gordon Rocks or Seymour Island due to park regulations. The Galapagos itinerary is controlled by the National Park who grants approval for normal itineraries and accepts requests for special itineraries.

Wednesday morning the yachts will moor in Itabaca Chanel, Santa Cruz where guests will disembark after breakfast by panga at 8 am to shore. A private bus will take everyone for a tour to see the beautiful Highlands of Santa Cruz Island. This will include Los Gemelos (The Twins) that are two enormous sinkholes; Scalesia Forest for a scenic view over Santa Cruz, a Tortoise Reserve to see giant tortoises, and Lava Tubes. The tour will then arrive in the quaint town of Puerto Ayora where guests will have lunch at a local restaurant of their choice (the only meal not included in the cruise), time for shopping and an optional visit to the tortoise-breeding center Fausto Llerena and Charles Darwin Research Station.

Thursday morning after a full breakfast, check out is at 8 am then departure for the San Cristobal airport.

WHAT WILL I SEE?
Whale sharks, hammerheads sharks, Galapagos sharks, white tip sharks . . . . .  tunas, mantas, stingrays, eagle rays, . . . . . . barracudas, snappers, goatfish, wahoo, groupers & mola mola . . . . . dolphins, sea lions, penguins, moray eels, turtles & red-lipped batfish . . . .  possibly even sailfish, tiger sharks, marlin and killer whales.

And that's not all.  There is a broad spectrum of marine life that make the Galapagos Islands one of the world’s foremost diving wonders.  Exactly what you see, of course, will depend on the time of year, the region of the Galapagos and, needless to say, the weather & current conditions.

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
Water temperatures in the southern islands can get as low as the mid sixties in the cooler season, but the northern islands of Darwin & Wolf are usually 10 degrees warmer.

Because of the currents in Galapagos the temperatures can change rapidly.

Outside the water, temperatures are generally pleasant & shorts and t shirts are comfortable attire. Still, we recommend carrying a sweatshirt as evenings on the deck can be cool.  Definitely expect some challenging diving in many areas where the currents are strong.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
Accommodation aboard the yacht, diving, compressed air tanks, weights and weight belts, airport transfers on day of arrival and departure.
Meals and snacks, non-alcoholic and local alcoholic beverages are also include in the charter rate.
Since 1/3/09 the fuel surcharge and port fee have been included in the charter price.

EXTRAS
Nitrox is $100 for unlimited supply.  Rebreathers are not available.

Airfare is not included in the charter rate.
The Galapagos Park Entry fee is $100 USD and the Control Visitors Card is $10 USD.
The International Airport Departure Fee, due at check-in to flights departing from Guayaquil is $26 USD and departing from Quito is $41 USD.
These fees are not included in the charter rate and USD are the preferred payment.
WHEN TO GO
Galapagos is a year-round destination
In general, May to November, the time of cooler water temps, is the best season for Whale Sharks.  During the warmer water season, December to April, there will usually be a greater preponderance of ray species.  But there is so much all year round that it doesn't make a great deal of difference when you choose to go.  You are always assured of a magical adventure.
