Black Sand Dive Retreat

Intimate & special, Black Sand Dive Retreat enjoys a protected location on Lembeh Strait, and offers all the magical diving of that unique body of water, with easy-access to snorkeling & diving on the house reef from the resort's lovely black sand beach.

6 bungalows, all with stunning views of the Strait, come with both ceiling fan & air-con, plus plenty of storage & a traditional, open-air Indonesian-style garden bathroom.  The central building, which includes the dining area, also offers panoramic views over the Strait, plus Wi-Fi internet connection, a reference library & audio-visual equipment. 

The diving is, of course, Lembeh diving, meaning it's largely "muck" & "critters" - every photographer's dream. But also, t

Gangaa Island Resort

Kunkungan Bay

Kungkungan Bay Resort is nestled on the site of an old coconut plantation on the Sulawesi coast of Lembeh Strait. The resort was specifically designed to achieve a pleasing aesthetic effect with minimum impact on the environment.

There are 4 types of accommodation at
Kungkungan Bay:

  8 beachfront cottage suites, each with a queen-size bed & a separate large sitting
     room with veranda
  4 original traditional-house style rooms, each with 2 queen beds (these are
L-shaped,
     giving privacy for each bed. Perfect room for non-couples)
  1 family traditional house with 2 separate bedrooms, the main bedroom with a king-
     size bed and the smaller bedroom with 2 single beds, all connected to a separate
   lounge area

  4 beachfront villas are modern-traditional house style built with an open plan
    including a huge living area, king bed, spacious veranda and large bathroom

Lembeh Resort

Lembeh Resort is a stunningly spectacular boutique style resort located on Lembeh Island, overlooking the Lembeh Strait. The spacious guest cottages, sporting huge verandas with views of  the Strait & the impressive volcano on the opposite side, are set in lush tropical vegetation.  The staff , largely from the local villages, will welcome you warmly to your heavenly home away from home.

 

There are 14 stunning cottages on this sumptuous property, half of them traditional Minahasa style wood construction & the other half, situated "cliff-side" above the central area, were designed with an elegant, contemporary Asian-themed decor.

Minahasa Lagoon Resort

In a simply idyllic setting at the north of Sulawesi, lies the Minahasa Lagoon Resort.  The resort consists of 15 cottages, each with a spacious, covered veranda with dining table & lounge chairs.  The front row of cottages are beach front but all cottages have a sea view.

Air-conditioned room have elegant 4-poster beds & an adjoining second room with bunk beds. In traditional Indonesian style, each cottage also has a large, completely private open-air bathroom, and you'll find a stocked mini bar, tea and coffee facilities, phone, wireless internet connection & private safe.

The fresh water infinity swimming pool, bar area & the Jacuzzi are also beach-front and just next to those you'll find the inviting air-conditioned clubhouse with a DVD library and projector, book library and reference materials specific to the local marine life and more.


The resort prides itself on it's fine cuisine, promising you a  culinary adventure. A small river meanders through the property & where it meets the sea, you will dine to sounds of the ocean and enjoy the fine wines that the European owners  provide.  And when you feel like something different, you can have dinner served in you cottage or you can escape to the treetops for your meal, as perched in the jungle tree tops, high above the lagoon, is the Jungle Restaurant , where wild monkeys often cavort & you can experience dining in a jungle retreat & dishes inspired by local tradition.


In addition, you find great diving.  The house reef is spectacular, with loads of invertebrates and some good muck. But the resort is situated on the mainland opposite Bunaken National Marine Park and your dives here will include everything from macro to wide-angle.

Nad

NAD is situated in the beautiful Lembeh Strait region, famous for its macro and muck diving. The resort is nestled between two hills inside a tranquil bay on Lembeh Island, a short boat ride away from all the top dive sites of the region.

With ten rooms & two bungalows, the resort blends into a beautiful green backdrop and offers a small beach and wonderful house reef.  The “eco-design” keeps rates low but standards high with a high level of personalized service in all departments.

The 4 standard rooms have fans while the 6 deluxe rooms feature air-conditioning. The bungalows are perched high on the hill for privacy. The others are is located on the waterfront with a beautiful view through the garden across the strait to the jungles and volcanoes of the mainland.

Siladen Resort 

The beautiful & romantic Siladen Resort & Spa is located on a lush tropical island next to the Bunaken Marine Park in Manado, North Sulawesi.

There are five beach villas & ten double garden view villas, all equipped with decks with sun beds, air-conditioning, mini-bars, satellite televisions, telephones.

Thalassa Dive Center 
at Santika Hotel

The resort is built on 7 hectares of lush garden. The 2 main buildings house the Deluxe and Premiere rooms. The Garden Bungalows are located in the large garden areas. All room have air-conditioning, TV, telephone, mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities. The Premiere rooms have views of the islands of Bunaken National Park.  Garden bungalows are slightly larger and very private.  Although the resort does not have a proper beach, the Thalassa Dive center organizes boat transfers to the islands Bunaken and Siladen for those who want the beach experience.

Diving is done largely in the Bunaken National Park, but special daytrips are offered to bring you to the other dive areas as well. Within a maximum of 1.5 hours of travel, you can visit and dive in 4 completely different underwater environments; the south side of Bunaken National Park, named Popooh, the waterfront side Manado, the Bangka Archipelago in the north and the Lembeh Strait in the east.

Wakatobi Resort
