Loloata Island Resort

Located near some of the world's finest coral reefs, Loloata affords you an opportunity to encounter much of Papua New Guinea's extraordinary marine life.  Underwater photographers love the array of fish, corals and critters just minutes away from the dock.

The island, which is just over 1 kilometer long and about 300 meters wide, is entirely owned by the resort and is otherwise uninhabited.  Accommodation is in colonial-style, elevated units.

Tawali Resort

Tucked away, only accessible by boat, sits the beautiful Tawali Resort.

Located on a volcanic bluff overlooking the clear protected waters of Milne Bay, Tawali offers travelers a pristine location to dive, relax and enjoy the unspoiled wonders of this magnificent part of the world.

Overlooking the bay of reef-fringed, deep blue water, and framed by stands of tall tropical trees the resorts offers covered walkways and huge, comfortable rooms.  You'll find two queen sized beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar, fridge, safe, a well-appointed modern bathroom.  Each room has its own perfectly private balcony.

Tufi Resort

This is unquestionably a unique and very special experience. The clear, calm and protected waters of Tufi, with its tropical fjords are perfect for macro and muck diving, such as you find on the popular house reef, a 3-minute walk from the resort.  And, the nearest open water reef is just 15 minutes by boat.

Tufi, a personalised boutique resort, is a hidden oasis nestled atop a breath-taking fjord, with 180º panoramic views of the sea, fjords and mountains.  The deluxe bungalows have polished timber floors and the walls are lined with traditional woven material. All the creature comforts are available, including insect screens, 24 hour electricity, air-conditioning, hot water, bedroom with en suite, bar fridge, coffee and tea making facilities. Most bungalows have verandas overlooking the Coral Sea or Tufi fjord.

This diving paradise has over 30 major dive sites in the nearby tropical waters of the Solomon Sea, with many uncharted reefs waiting to be explored. The Tufi page is under construction.  For immediate additional details just click to contact us.

New Britain
Walindi Plantation Resort

One of our favorite land-based resorts is located on Kimbe Bay, on the island of New Britain.  Walindi Plantation Resort is surrounded by a plantation which was founded in 1935.  The plantation property was purchased by Max and Cecily Benjamin in 1969 . . . and in 1983 they established Walindi Resort, designed mainly to provide a base for scuba divers lured by the news of pristine waters and magical underwater creatures.

Walindi has developed a reputation of excellence over the years and is world famous for its truly remarkable diving (countless award-winning photographs and films come for these waters) and its warm hospitality.  To read details of this resort, the diving in the area just click here.

Liveaboards
FeBrina

FeBrina is one of our very favorite liveaboards in the entire world.  She's 72 foot long, fully air-conditioned and fitted with everything a serious and adventurous diver desires - plus she is captained by the incomparable Captain Alan Raabe, Australian extraordinaire . . .   AND, following her re-fit she now has all en-suite cabins!

FeBrina is based at Walindi Plantation Resort on Kimbe Bay (one of our absolute favorites in the dive resort category) which is located on the North Coast of New Britain.  The itineraries include Kimbe Bay, and both north & south coasts of New Britain, including visits to the sought-after diving at Rabaul. Highly recommended is a combination trip on the boat and at the resort.
