THE RODNEY FOX

Princess II on location opt786

The Rodney Fox 32 meters (105 feet) takes 18 guests in 9 cabins and has the space & facilities to operate cage diving with Great White sharks safely in the waters of the Neptune Islands.

A word from Dom :  "A very special Great White experience.  The Foxes, Rodney & his son Andrew, are true champions of Great White Sharks, involved in research & teaching, as well as tourism, to help to save the Great White.  You can choose cage diving in surface floating cages (for non-certified divers) or the unique facilities for certified divers to observe from a cage on the ocean floor.  Both options give photographers spectacular and unique images.  Highly recommended." ..... Dominick Macan

There are three levels; observation, diving/dining and accommodation.  Guests can enjoy sun decks on the observation and diving levels, both of which are fantastic places to view the sharks and the stars.  You'll find plenty of places places to relax inside, too. Chef prepared meals are served buffet style in the saloon/dining area.

The boat also offers a large tender boat for fascinating island explorations of the offshore islands wildlife and scenery.

ITINERARIES

The Rodney Fox has several itineraries running at different times of the year specifically to view great white sharks in all their splendour. Cage diving trips can be for 3, 4 or 5 days.

See information about the different seasons....... open

The final itinerary is, of course, always dependant upon weather, sea conditions and where the best animal sightings are at any particular time of year

April to mid-July ... peak shark numbers ... best time to be there
August ... generally a good time to see the super giant females
September to January .... a reliable number of sharks lurking around ... still a good time to go
February ... very unreliable in terms of numbers
March to early April  .... the shark off-season
