Bahamas Master

Bahamas Master boat 1 lr opt

Bahamas Master is a 115-foot (35 meter) liveaboard which accommodates 16 guests. She offers 3 itineraries taking avid divers to the best of the Bahamas shark diving.

A word from Dom:  "The Bahamas has gained an ocean-worthy vessel with the move of the former Yemaya from Malpelo to the Bahamas.  She's made for adventure divers and her itineraries will take you to dive with tigers, lemons, great hammerheads, oceanic white tips and bull sharks ... as well as some of the "milder' side of the Bahamas.  Don't hesitate to contact me about the pros & cons of the vessels diving Bahamas waters.  Each of them suits different divers. RELAX BETWEEN DIVES

This steel-hulled, ocean-going vessel, originally based in Panama, was built to withstand the occasional rough seas on the runs to and from Cocos and Malpelo, making her an ideal dive liveaboard in any environment.

On the top deck, you will find the covered outdoor bar and dining area as well as a big sundeck for relaxation after the dives.  Two master cabins, with spectacular views, are located on the mezzanine deck while the 6 standard cabins are all located on the main deck.  Inside on the main deck, you'll find even more space for hanging out between dives. Forward on this deck, you will find the indoor lounge with comfortable bean bags and a 52-inch plasma TV/DVD.  Still and video cameras can be linked to the screen for photo and video viewing in the evenings. You'll find an extensive DVD library onboard, however, you are welcome to bring along your own DVD’s and music.  Board games are also available.

Bahamas Master offers easy access to the water through a large dive platform with a ladder,a camera table with a rinse tank, low-pressure air hoses and storage ... and two showers. Dive equipment is set up and stored at the rear of the main deck.   Dedicated rinse tanks for cameras and computers are provided.   A dedicated indoor camera charging station can be found on the main deck towards the bow.

The menu on-board offers a variety of American choices in addition to local cuisine. If you have any special dietary requirement please let us know when booking.  Beverages such as tea, coffee and fruit juices are always available and both local beer, wines and cocktails are available at extra cost.

CRUISE LOGISTICS

We recommend guests spend a night in the Bahamas before cruise departure. Embarkation will be at 5 pm. Disembarkation at the end of the cruise will be just before 10 am. If you are not remaining in the Bahamas for additional nights after your cruise, please allow plenty of time for the transfer to the airport and for check-in.

Scheduled dives are baited or feeding dives. On certain dive sites, after the scheduled dives, there is an open deck policy where guests can jump in the water and watch the action as the mood takes them. Dive sites are mainly specific shark diving spots on sandy bottoms. On scheduled dives, the divers are lined up in the sand to watch the shark action.   Currents and swells are the norm in the Bahamas, notably around Tiger Beach. It is therefore recommended that divers have experience beyond beginner level to ensure maximum enjoyment, especially with the nature of the wildlife in the area.
