Aqua Tiki III

FP67 Aquatiki III Ext opt

The Aquatiki III is a 20-meter (67-foot) catamaran which sleeps 10 guests in 5 modern cabins. She dives Fakarava, the Tuamotus, Marquesas & can offer special itineraries for charters.

A word from Dom :  "I've long been a fan of the lovely catamaran, Aqua Tiki II, as a splendid way to sail, relax and dive the Tuamotus. Her owners a genuine experts in this region, their food is fantastic and they know where and take you for the best underwater experiences.  The coming of a sister-ship is an exciting event.  She's newer and roomier, light and inviting. If you're thinking of French Polynesia, think "catamaran" !...."   Dominick Macan

Explore from a floating boutique hotel....

Scheduled to begin service at the end of February 2020, we won't be surprised if the gorgeous new Aqua Tiki III becomes the shining star of dive liveaboards in French Polynesia.  New, sleek and sturdy, she's spacious and offers traditional catamaran comforts.  The covered sun deck at the top is roughly as wide as it is long and features skylights to ensure plenty of light illuminating this lovely salon area .  For serious sun worshippers, you'll have the trampolines on the main deck and a seating area located just behind the trampolines, in front of the large interior salon & dining area.  In the salon, you'll find a video corner,  library and cocktail bar.   At the stern end of this deck is more exterior living space as well as the dive set up.   The 5 roomy cabins are all located on the lower level.

What's on the menu

The meals consist mainly of fresh fish and rice as fresh fruits and vegetables in this region are very limited.  The fish is often quick cooked on the plancha.   Your hostess is a trained chef and will cook up succulent & inventive local recipes.  Bread, brioches, pancakes, yogurts are all “home” prepared on board. Table water and lemonade are freely available throughout the day, however, drinks (sodas, mineral water, alcohol, …) are extra.

Aquatiki III sails the most idyllic areas of French Polynesia;  9, 11 and 15-day itineraries will show you the best of Fakarava & the Tuamotus.  Aqua Tiki III is also planning to include the popular Marquesas trips her sister ship has long offered.  Private charters can also be arranged with a personalised itinerary.

Your cruise logistics

Embarkatioin and disembarkation, except for specialized itineraries, is from Fakarava atoll which has a small airport.  Sailing is usually done very early in the morning and sailing most often in the lagoons or in the open sea. You will probably not sail every day which will allow you multiple opportunities to dive the best passes and perhaps to make excursions.  The dives are carried out in the passes and are most often drift dives in very strong currents.   The nature of the tides in the passes, between lagoons and open sea is the reason for only 2 dives per day.  Dives have to be timed with the water flow.
