For those of you who might desire to sleep on deck, blankets, hammocks and mattresses are available for sleeping under the stars. The air-conditioned indoor salon on this deck is an escape for anyone who has maxed out on sun. The 5 cabins are all located on the lower deck.

Moana offers everything you expect for diving: dedicated wet & dive deck, dock for custom tender boats, easy entry & exit for swimming, fresh water tanks for equipment cleaning, a large stock of rental equipment, dedicated small item storage space for each guests.

The cuisine on board is healthy and includes plenty of fresh local organic tropical fruit and fish from the local markets. Breakfasts are ‘all you can eat’ buffet style and lunch and dinner vary between International, Indonesian and Asian specialties.

Itineraries

Moana’s main itinerary focuses on Komodo National Park.

Sample itinerary: Sailing itineraries and daily programs are subject to change due to weather and sea conditions, availability of safe anchorage, government regulations and other factors. Every effort will be made to carry out the program as planned.

Once all guests are on board, you will set course towards the island of Sebayur Kecil.  After lunch it’s a check-out dive, then a night dive after sunset and the boat will stay at anchor overnight.

The first full dive day will be at Tatawa Besar, where you can expect a nice drift dive to start out.
After breakfast you will head towards the center of the park and visit Batu Bolong, a dramatic formation that extends underwater and is full or marine life.
After lunch it’s Manta Point for a close encounter with those gentle giants.
The night dive will be at Gila Lawa Darat, where Moana will stay for the night.

The next morning you’ll head towards the northern-most part of the National Park.
Castle Rock is an underwater pinnacle and often subject to various currents. This is usually one of the highlights or the trip and sharks are quite likely here.
After that, you’ll dive Crystal Rock, a beautifully covered formation and later in the afternoon, you’ll dive the Cauldron, a channel between the island of Gili Lawa Darat and Gili Lawa Laut.

You will overnight in North Komodo with a night dive at Gili Lawa Darat.

You’ll begin another exciting day at the Golden Passage, another channel between Komodo and Gili Lawa Darat.
After breakfast, you’ll head south towards the center of the park, stopping at Tatawa Kecil and Siaba Kecil. Both sites have beautiful topography, lots or marine life & currents.
Next you’re off to Rinca Island & the night dive will be at Wainilu, where you can expect some amazing critters during the muck night dive.

In the morning, you may have an opportunity for a short trek to visit the famous Komodo dragons on Rinca. Accompanied by a ranger, you have a chance to get close up with these prehistoric creatures. After breakfast, depending on your flight time the next day, there will be 1 or 2 more dives at Wainilu or Tengah Kecil.
