dive liveaboard specialists .... the world's finest diving
Elegant & luxurious, in a remote paradise in south Sulawesi, Wakatobi is beloved for many reasons by amateur & professional divers alike, not the least of which is its superb house reef.
"Another one of my all-time unbeatable favorites. Yes, I admit, there are quite a few of those on this site. But, I think I would say that of all the operations I've ever worked with, Wakatobi Resort comes as close to "perfect" as possible. The accommodation, the food (oh, my, the food!), the island, the diving operation, the incredible support that the resort gives to both the environment and the villagers on the island .... I could go on. Suffice it to say, you just can't do better than Wakatobi." .... Dominick Macan

Also, this is home to the spectacular Pelagian liveaboard, which means you can easily combine resort & liveaboard diving on one trip. And, it's a perfect resort for non-divers.

The list is so long that it's difficult to know where to begin, but it's important to note that this is a destination famous amongst photographers for incredible macro photography - which if course translates to a wealth of coral and small creatures.
You'll see larger creatures, too, such as turtles, sting rays, eagle rays and mantas. You'll see frogfish and soldier fish and trumpet fish.
