Arenui

Arenui Ext1 opt

The truly spectacular Arenui fits perfectly into the "Boutique Liveaboard" category. The second you step on board you notice that she is a world apart from the average dive vessel.

A word from Dom :  "You're amongst the lucky few if you have an opportunity to sail on the stunning Arenui. She stands out in every way - construction, interior decor, food, dive itineraries, and especially her crew. She delivers a diving vacation package which equals the finest anywhere. I'll never forget my astonishment & admiration for her refinements the first time I saw her. Admittedly, she isn't a budget option but she's more than worth the splurge if your budget allows it."  Dominick Macan

Artistry in fusion with liveaboard diving

The Arenui is the pride anda joy of its owner and one of the most exquisite vessels sailing anywhere. An amazing 70 percent of the wood used to build her is recycled, much of it teak originally used in Javanese houses.  All wood finishing has been done by hand, using traditional materials and techniques and the bronze, brass and copper features, such as the unique hinges and handles are all handmade, also.

On the sky deck, you'll find immense lounging areas on both the fore and aft decks plus the inviting open-air dining area. The upper deck features the galley, the dive deck and the spacious interior restaurant / lounge as well as 4 of the exquisite cabins, including 2 master-suites and 2 deluxe twins.  The remaining 4 deluxe cabins are located on the lower deck.  Each cabin is individually themed and decorated with hand-crafted articles & textiles from a range of Indonesian islands.  There are more than 100 movies to choose from - to watch in the lounge area or for those with an individual DVD player, in the privacy of your own cabin.

As to the cuisine, you'll enjoy wonderful meals and a tempting wine list !  Most days begin with a small breakfast, then a full buffet breakfast after the morning dive. Lunch is buffet style but the evening meal is served a-la-carte with a number of choices.  Snacks are available throughout the day. The food is plentiful, fresh and centered on local and flown-in ingredients.  Internationally trained chefs add their own touch to create special dishes.

Underwater photographer's dream

As it seems everyone is a budding underwater photographer today, the vessel is fully equipped to cater your needs.  In the back of the restaurant and lounge area you'll find 2 computers set up for both PC and MAC systems (with photo editing software). There are charging stations for all your equipment, extension cords and adaptors to cater to different systems and plenty of table space for using your own laptops, plus experienced cruise directors who will be happy to assist with most of your photo and computer needs during the cruise..

Choice  itineraries

Arenui has chosen the best dive sites based at the best times of year to explore these world famous destinations. In addition to visiting all the usual popular diving sites of Indonesia she visits other world-class destinations, which are often overlooked.  Her itineraries include Komodo, Alor & Flores, Forgotten Islands, Maluku, Banda Sea and Raja Ampat. Most itineraries will include island visits where possible.

Arenui's Annual Cycle:  From May to October, she cruises the Komodo National Park area, taking in dive sites and landscapes from Bali right across to Flores and Alor, which can be dived all year round.  Then in November she moves towards Ambon in Maluku and the Spice Islands in the Banda Sea, working her way to the Raja Ampat area of Western Papua (the the world ‘epicentre of marine biodiversity’).  Arenui cruises continue in Raja Ampat from December through until April, before traveling back towards Alor and Komodo National Park.
