Modern comforts, traditional style

Aurora was launched in the summer of 2009.  She is a spacious, double masted, motor-sail yacht, built according to the 'traditional Pinisi style' and designed specifically for divers.  As a guest aboard, you will experience modern comfort combined with the charm of a traditional boat.  Her teak interior gives her decor a rich, lush look throughout.

On the top fly deck, you find a spacious sundeck with sunbeds and views of the striking Indonesian scenery.  The main deck sports the captain's bridge, plus interior restaurant & bar plus lounge with its large sea-view windows and PC & DVD. You'll also find the photo/video area here. On the foredeck is the preparation area for your diving adventures while at the stern, you'll find an exterior covered sitting lounge.  All nine cabins are on the lower deck.

What's on the menu

Freshly cooked meals consisting of Western, Italian and Indonesian cuisine are served buffet style.  Breakfast is a la carte, with ample choice.  Before the first dive of the day you can enjoy a pre-breakfast snack of fruit, toast, juice and coffee. After the dive a full breakfast is served with eggs cooked according to your choice, plus noodles, potatoes, french toast and the like.  Typical lunch dishes consist of chicken, beef, shrimp & other fish served with potatoes, pasta or rice, plus vegetables and fruit.  Between dives you'll find tasty treats and in the evening the chef will serve a variety of dishes, indluding pumpkin soup, shrimp and tuna & chicken dishes, french fries, fresh vegetables and dessert.

Perhaps most importantly, Aurora's itineraries are top-notch and include the most popular regions of Indonesia.  The crew prides itself in exploring the best sites as well as some of the lesser known, but wonderful dives await in Komodo, Alor, the Banda Sea, Raja Ampat, Dampier Strait, Maluku and the Forgotten Islands.  Trips to specific regions are, of course, based on the best time of year to experience the region's finest diving.

Your cruise logistics

We will provide all travel details at time of booking and would be pleased to help you book your domestic flights in Indonesia. The Indonesian airline schedules change frequently and we advise clients that it's better to avoid internet bookings as those bookings can be difficult to change. Also, please note, the boat's scheduled departure time varies depending on current domestic airline schedules so they are not listed here. We'll inform you at time of booking and will keep you posted on changes.  The following airport list will help you with general planning for your international flights.

Komodo & Alor & Flores:   International hub Bali-Denpasar (DPS)
Maluku & The Spice Islands:  International hub Jakarta (CGK)
The Forgotten Islands:  International hub - Jakarta (CGK) and Bali (DPS)
Raja Ampat: International hub - Jakarta (CGK)
