Large & comfy with loads of outdoor living space

With a major makeover in 2016, the Raja Manta Explorer is a boat designed for divers, by divers. With up to 18 well-trained crew, excellent service above and below water are ensured.

Raja Manta Explorer's common areas are large enough to be comfortable for her guest capacity. An expansive sundeck offering panoramic views of the Indonesian archipelago spans the length of the boat (1000 square feet) has deck chairs, loungers and room for massage mattresses offering an ideal place to relax in between dives.  On the upper deck, there is an enormous 500 square foot salon with sofas, a digital media center, sound system and 42 inch widescreen plasma TV including 500 movies for your entertainment.   You'll also find 2 large cabins on this deck in front of the lounge while at the stern end, there's a comfy600 square-foot outdoor dining area with more than enough room for all.  The main deck houses the dive deck and 6 cabins while 3 more cabins are found on the lower deck.

A delicious blend of Western and Asian cuisine from the on board chefs awaits you after every dive.

A diver's boat

There is an enormous dive deck with ample space for gearing up and designated rinse tanks for cameras, tables and charging stations. Photographers will find plenty of space and equipment for camera care. Warm towels, hot drinks and fresh fruits are available after dives.

The Captain and dive crew have years of experience in Indonesia including Komodo, Alor, Banda Sea and Raja Ampat. Diving is conducted in small groups to ensure a personalized underwater experience.

Itineraries

Raja Manta Explorer offers exciting itineraries through Ambon, Banda, Sangalaki, Raja Ampat as well as other extended itineraries.

Your cruise logistics

Sangalaki, Maratua & Kakaban itinerary:   Daily flights to Balikpapan International Airport (BPN), Kalimantan, Indonesia are available from Singapore or Jakarta by Silk air, Garuda or Lion Air.  We highly recommended overnighting in a hotel near Balikpapan Airport and taking one of the scheduled morning flights to Berau (BEJ) on trip departure day.   Transfers to the boat to/from Berau (BEJ) Airport take around 2 hours. Pick-up is provided on trip departure day from the airport or a local hotel. Raja Manta representatives will be there to greet you at the airport.  Guests will leave Raja Manta Explorer in plenty of time on the final morning for flight check in for your return flight.

Raja Ampat itineraries:  Trips start and finish in Sorong, West Papua. A representative will meet you at Sorong Airport (SOQ) and transport you to your liveaboard adventure. It is easiest to fly to & from Sorong (SOQ) via Jakarta (CGK), Makassar (UPG Ujung Pandang), Bali (DPS, Denpasar), or Manado (MDC).   Departure is scheduled no later than 5pm. Once all guests are onboard you will receive a briefing, dinner, then set sail to Raja Ampat. Possible late-afternoon check dive at Red Light district just outside Sorong if everyone arrives early.  After an early breakfast on the final day, you'll be taken back to the Sorong airport.
