    LOVELY, SLEEK & WELL APPOINTED

This luxurious liveaboard pampers guests with an incredible 3 sundecks which mean you have exceptional outdoor living space. At the tip-top of the boat, is the sun deck where you'll find sunbeds & mattresses ... and a soothing Jacuzzi.   On the upper deck, there's a covered bar on the aft deck with super comfy lounge-type seating and tables  ..... while on the fore deck you find another Jacuzzi and seating.  Here you'll also find a junior suite with access to the Jacuzzi .... and a twin cabin.

The main deck sports an immense interior lounge area, furnished with sofas, massage armchairs, a huge 65" TV with in house channels, satellite reception and film system .... and should you be inclined, there’s a disco room with Karaoke for evening entertainment. The two master suites are also located on this deck at the bow end. Six twin / double cabins are found on the lower deck, as well as a master cabin.

Blue Force One also features a spa, complete with massage room, sauna and steam bath.

As with virtually all Maldives dive vessels, the dive sites are reached by dhoni, an auxiliary boat, 18 meters long where air compressors, nitrox and dive gear is kept. This avoids the compressor noise while tanks are being refilled and the damp equipment is not taken on board.

Blue Force Two is rebreather friendly.  They will supply the air for an extra charge but you'll need to bring your own rebreather.

    ITINERARIES

Blue Force One concentrates on Central Atolls but also offers occasional Southern Hemisphere trips and a couple of Manta Specials during the year.. Her 7-day trips are generally classic central atolls trips while on 10-day trips she often ventures to the southern central region.  In January and February, she heads south to the equator for exceptional trips which feature loads of pelagic animals.

BEST OF MALDIVES: (Central Atolls, Male – Male) 7 nights ...You will dive many of the best-known dive sites of the Maldives… with channels, caves, drop-offs, massive coral tables & superb pelagic action. Expect manta rays & a variety of sharks, including whale sharks ... hammerheads in season and many more.

Your Central Atolls itinerary will include  the following:

North Ari Atoll: find caves & overhangs here are home to home to a variety of fish … from dog-toothed tuna, napoleons, trevallies and barracuda to parrotfish, butterflyfish, blue face angelfish, batfish and lionfish. You’ll encounter grey reef sharks and white-tip sharks … while on the top of the reef, countless fusiliers dart around and those lovely, ever-present-in-the-Maldives blue-stripped snappers move in waves. Lovely soft corals and gorgonian fans add color … and there’s a nice little wreck …. a fishing trawler with coral growth and loads of fish and critters to add interest.

South Ari Atoll: popular for its population of whale sharks. In season you’re likely to have the opportunity to snorkel with one or more. But, whale sharks aren’t all there is. You’ll find caves and overhangs, more sharks … plus fusiliers, angelfish, tuna & jacks, large seafans, soft corals and an abundance of other marine life.

North Male Atoll: one of the finest sites in the Maldives for sighting those majestic mantas. A cleaning station here can be very busy between May and December, with cleaner wrasse anxious to get to work on their oversized friends as they sail in. It’s a bit like a busy barber shop!

South Male Atoll: a challenging thila dive here offers some lovely corals and schools of pelagic fish … plus eagle rays and sharks. Another small wreck features some good macro options.

Vaavu (Felidhe): there’s a popular channel dive here with nurse sharks as well as black tip and white tip reef sharks. A possible night dive at a jetty offers up loads of nurse sharks & sting rays. Another dive, loved by photographers in particular, is alive with soft corals in lovely hues and includes a nice variety of reef fish.

Your Southern Atolls itinerary will include  the following:   Laamu, Gaaf Alif, Foamulah & Addu

Meemu Atoll: a long drift dive in channel here puts you in arms reach of an assortment of big fish: jacks, trevallies, Napoleons … plus bannerfish & batfish, turtles & morays. There’s also a good spot here for mantas from May to December.

Laamu Atoll: another channel with (usually) strong currents. Some wonderful soft corals, a strong population of sharks & schools of pelagic fish … plus some playful dolphins … and mantas likely are your reward for braving the channel’s currents.

    Foammulah / Fuvamulah:
if you’re looking for sharky dives, you need look no further. Tiger sharks, thresher sharks, hammerheads and silky sharks can be found in this region … plus oceanic mantas. The currents can be wild, so, it’s strictly for advanced divers. If you’re in that category, this is thrilling stuff! There’s also a beautiful wall dive with more of the same characters and schools of pelagic fish.

    Huvadhoo:
(Gaaf Alif)  in this region, you’ll find a multitude of superb shark dive sites, again for advanced divers, where you’ll almost certainly spot grey reef sharks, white tips, silvertips, leopard sharks, hammerheads and the occasional silky shark. Never a dull moment !

    TRAVEL & CRUISE LOGISTICS

Most of the central atoll trips begin and end in Male and the closest airport is Male Intl (MLE). Pickup time at the airport is according to your flights. Give yourself enough time to go through immigration and pick up your luggage. At the exit of the terminal a crew member will meet and escort you to the Blue Force One. For the deep south trips these either start or finish in Koodoo and you will require a domestic one way flight.

Your last dives will be on the second to last day in the morning. Blue Force One docks back in Male in the evening on the second to last day and disembarkation is the following morning. Guests will then be transferred to Male airport.

This schedule is altered for Deep South trips which include a domestic flight one way.  Full info for these trips is available upon request.
