Seafari Explorer ext opt

Serious divers love the 26-meter (85-foot) Emperor Atoll.  With a maximum of 12 guests there is plenty of space on board. She offers 4 different & exciting itineraries.

A word from Dom :  " If you're looking for an excellent crew, comfortable accommodation, great food and fine Maldives diving shared with just a few other divers, Emperor Atoll should definitely be high on your list of choices.  She's long been one of my favorite liveaboards because she's all about great diving with no fuss, no muss.  Just the style I like !"..... Dominick Macan

Emperor Atoll is very well set up for diving from her dhoni and has plenty of room for your relaxation hours.  The large sun deck has lounge chairs which you can set out in shade or sun according to your preference. On the main deck is a large, interior salon set up restaurant-style with 4 super-sized booths ... for relaxing or dining.  You'll also find the bar here (Emperor Atoll is fully licensed to sell soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits) as well as a flat screen TV with surround sound, plenty of DVD's and a library. WiFi is available for a weekly fee but is dependent upon being in range of a signal.  On the fore deck is the alfresco dining area, another comfy, booth-style arrangement.  On the aft deck is a large swim platform with ladder giving easy access to the water ... and you'll find fresh-water showers and camera wash tanks here.

The food is renowned for its excellent quality with an impressive variety of both local and European dishes. The chef is always happy to address special diets, but please let us know your requests in advance.

Emperor Atoll is rebreather-friendly and also offers free NITROX.  For underwater video and photography enthusiasts, there are plenty of recharging points/edit playback facilities.

The final itinerary is, of course, always dependent upon weather, sea conditions and where the best animal sightings are at any particular time of year

Best of the Maldives - Central Atolls

    Hanifaru & North Itinerary
Scheduled around the New Moon phase between July and October, this itinerary takes you to see the mantas which venture into Hanifaru Bay for a feeding frenzy.

Baa Atoll: Hanifaru Bay and Nelivaru Thila, Dhiggu Thila and more
North Male Atoll: beautiful pinnacles, Lankan Manta Point
Lhaviyani Atoll: Fushivaru Thila, Kuredu Express, and Kuredu Caves

    Pelagic Magic (April - July)
    Pelagic Magic gets you face to face with the famous whale sharks of Ari Atoll. As this itinerary devotes more time here, you are certain to get your whale shark fix at Maamagili. Iconic dive follows iconic dive as you sail from Male through North Ari and then onto South Ari;

North Ari Atoll: grey reef sharks, Maaya Thila night dive, multiple manta cleaning stations
South Ari Atoll: whale sharks, beautiful pinnacles

Sharktastic - visiting 4 Atolls (January - April)

This itinerary is not for beginners. Most dives will involve going to depth and currents can be strong. We recommend you have 30 logged dives to join this trip and require that you are Deep Diver/Advanced Open Water or equivalent. If you are an Open Water Diver, some dives are below 18m therefore we recommend having advanced experience or taking your PADI Advanced Open Water course on board to maximize your enjoyment from the trip.

South Ari Atoll: whale sharks, beautiful pinnacles
South Male Atoll: grey reef sharks, eagle rays, other pelagics, beautiful macro wreck.
Vaavu Atoll: beautiful channels with magical soft corals and pelagic delights. Action packed night dive with Nurse Sharks and others.
Meemu Atoll: beautiful channels with pelagic action, sailfish, grey reef sharks, eagle rays and beautiful soft coral. Manta cleaning station.
