Solid, strong & spacious

Formerly the Taka, now owned & operated by Master Liveaboards, the Solomons PNG Master is the newest liveaboard in the Solomons region.  With her massive 4-deck structure she guarantees plenty of space to enjoy in your non-diving hours.

The top sun deck is dedicated to sun worshippers who will find lounge chairs ready & waiting ... while just below on the upper deck, you’ll enjoy an expansive covered seating area for those who wish to escape the UV rays.  The upper deck also houses 6 cabins, all with windows

On the main deck, you'll find the interior, air-conditioned lounge/dining area which is enormous and offers DVDs, large TVs and a dedicated camera area for photographers. At the stern on this deck is the dive deck, which will be the platform for most of your diving.

The lower deck are six additional cabins, including four cabins for single divers.

Fresh & abundant table fare

The chef offers local cuisines while also featuring recipes from an international menu.  You'll find local vegetables, pork, beef, fresh fish (often caught right off the boat), chicken, pasta, rice, homemade bread, scones, biscuits and of course, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and all the usual condiments to complete the meal.

There is lots of fresh fruit and fresh lime juice, called bush lime. Galley staff are also prepared to assist with special menu requirements, but please let us know in advance of the departure date,

The dive deck has freshwater showers & freshwater rinse bins for equipment.  Each station has ample storage for your equipment above and below your station. The two ladders which access the dive platform provide easy access to and from the water.

Most dives are done directly off the large dive deck with a tender in the water for additional safety. Dive guides are always available but you are free to explore the dive sites at your leisure (within the confines of your training and experience).

The reefs start very close to the surface which means there is little need for deep dives. Often the reefs drop off gradually allowing you to explore extensively at relatively shallow depths which can be extra dives per day under the right conditions. Computers are mandatory for all divers.  If you do not have your own, you can rent one on the boat.

Photography facilities are excellent. The boat has dedicated camera preparation areas with plenty of charging points and large rinse tanks as well as storage drawers and a large plasma screen to view and share your photos and videos with your dive buddies.
