Thailand Aggressor

Thailand Aggressor Ext opt

The Thailand Aggressor is a 115-foot (35-meter) yacht which offers 7 night trips to the North Andaman Sea, November to May. There is accomodation for 16 guests in 8 staterooms.

A word from Dom :  "Those of you who know me, know that I want my diving to include the thrill of LOTS of big animals or countless weird, tiny, indefinable creatures ... none of which are Thailand's strong points. Having said that, I've done some nice diving here and do admit that there were some nice thrills with big animals and the corals are luscious ! If you're looking for relaxing diving or if you're travelling in Thailand, you should definitely do some diving ....and, of course, you can always depend on an Aggressor vessel for a comfy cabin, efficient operation & plenty of food!" ..... Dominick Macan

ITINERARIES

Thailand Aggressor is currently offering itineraries in the Similan Islands of the North Andaman Sea from the beginning of November to end of April.

SEE DIVE SITE HIGHLIGHTS AND MAP  ....  open

The Similans Inlands are comprised of 9 islands with snow-white beaches, lush tropical jungle and great dive sites in stunning turquoise waters. Most of the islands are surrounded by huge underwater rock formations, eroded by the action of a relentless sea. You’ll find a fascinating variety of marine life, with depths often reaching 40 meters or more. Narrow swim-throughs, caverns and underwater canyons create an exciting diving landscape.

A few of the highlights include:

Koh Bon and Koh Tachai - a breathtaking drop-off with hard and soft corals, and great opportunities to see passing manta rays and whale sharks.

Anita's Reef - Barracuda’s Point, “Hin Muan Deaw” - Shallow coral gardens, gigantic sea fans, and many species of hard corals surround this fantastic rock.

West of Eden - Canyons & walls covered with colorful soft corals and giant sea fan … shallows which are home to lots of reef fish, also macro subjects like nudibranchs and frogfish, long-nose hawkfish, ribbon eels, dragonets and red fire gobies. Occasionally, whitetip reef sharks cruise by.

Bon - Koh Bon West Ridge, Koh Talu – The majority of corals here are hard corals, including staghorn coral and brain coral although there’s a pinnacle covered by an abundance of yellow soft corals and large sea fans. This site is a cleaning station for manta rays, so there is a high chance of finding at least one during a dive. Koh Bon also has many kinds of sharks & schools of colorful fish.

Tachi Reef – Leopard Shark Reef - Hard corals cover the entire area, most of which are staghorn corals, pore corals, brain corals, and fire corals. Following a steep drop-off, you’re likely to find leopard sharks just hanging out. A variety of reef fish will delight your camera lens.

Richelieu Rock – Hin Plo Naam - One of the most famous dive sites of Thailand, Richelieu Rock is an isolated pinnacle to the east of Surin Islands. One gentle slope is complemented by several sheer walls & caves. This area is known for its stunning soft corals and sea anemones, its abundant macro life (ghost pipefish, frogfish, harlequin shrimp, seahorses & nudibranchs) but also a variety of morays and plenty of pelagic fish. In season, you’re very likely to encounter manta rays & whale sharks.
